3-Day Defensive Pistol Course
Personal Protection in the Home Course, hosted by the Austin Rifle Club, Manor, Tx
Picture
David B. practicing the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship. Notice the use of the strap to reinforce the 'loading of the bipods' for good shot-to-shot consistency, and the proper use of a 'rear bag' with his support hand.
Linda C.'s first round hit at 246 yd target while standing supported with her .308 Kimber, during a Couples Precision Rifle Class at the Austin Gun Club, Lampasas, Tx (That's her husband hooting in the background, not me...)

Malaney O. wanted to surprise her husband Neal with a private Couples LTC Class for Christmas. His real surprise was that she out-shot him (by 4 points) with a near-perfect score!

Pam E., proud of her CHL Qualification during a Couples LTC Class with her husband Shane!

Pam E. receiving some post-LTC one-on-one mentoring, focusing on trigger control and follow through. Note that nearly all of her rounds are falling within the 3" circle at this point! Great job, Pam!
A client conducting a 5-round Rhythm Drill from the draw plus a combat reload as part of his Post-LTC training after completing the DPS' Range Qualification.  The draw is practiced, step-by-step and by the numbers, before progressing to this point.  Here we're incorporating drawing the pistol, firing multiple shots while focusing on the front sight, reloading, and getting back into the fight, but the pace is slow to reinforce the development of learning proper technique until the skills become second nature (note the slight fumbling w/ the reload).  Slow becomes smooth; Smooth becomes Fast with enough practice...
And here's the 5-round Rhythm Drill plus reload with practice....                                                                                (Best viewed full screen; watch the first round point of impact of each string, using a 3/4" dot as the point of aim...)
