Defensive Pistol Course I
(8 hours / $300 per individual / 300 rounds)
(1 - 4 students)

This is an Intermediate-Level Defensive Pistol course for those who are already familiar with their personal handgun, and are looking for Individual or Small Group instruction that will reduce their reaction time while maintaining defensive accuracy.  We will first review the fundamentals, modified for defensive encounters, and conduct hands-on dry-fire practice in the classroom before heading out to the range for the live-fire portion.
For this Course it is advised that you bring a holster and magazine pouches, but is not mandatory.  We WILL NOT be focusing on drawing from the holster during this course (individual or private lessons can be modified to cover this if you desire, or look for the Defensive Pistol Course II).

Course Outline

Topics annotated with an asterisk (*) are taught using a hands-on methodology, which has repeatedly been the item that truly sets this training apart from all  other courses in the Austin area. I'll coordinate with you prior to the class date to ensure that I have the appropriate caliber of dummy rounds / Snap Caps on hand to support your hands-on learning experience in the classroom.
